This page offers a collection of the most common questions we receive. If you are wondering about other things, you can get in touch by phone, email or chat. We are ready to help.
If you need transportation and help carrying your belongings, we can refer you to our quality assured moving company. The company will contact you about prices and availability suited to your situation.
We also offer trailers and trolleys for rental. All our locations provide parking and spacious loading zones
Self storage is when you rent a storage unit to store your belongings. You can rent privately or as a business. Only you will have access to your room, and will be able to freely use it everyday from 5 am to 10 pm O’ clock.
You can bring your belongings to your location of choice, and move in to your storage unit the same day you make a reservation. It is important to make a reservation within the opening hours of our customer service for same day booking and move-in.
We will do a mandatory credit check before the contract is signed.
The rental period runs monthly until you choose to terminate the lease. There is no limit to how long you can rent a storage unit. Some of our regular customers have stored with us for over 10 years.
Here at City Self-Storage we put safety above everything else. Our storage facilities are equipped with access systems that require personal entry codes, and video surveillance that gives us an overview of everyone accessing the facilities. The locations are visited periodically by our employees during opening hours.
Your belongings will be stored in safe and secure, tempered, dry, and odorless units. We also have a direct line to the fire department in case of fire.
The openings hours for our on-site stores can be found on each location’s page on our website. Opening hours may differ from location to location, so make sure to check the right location for their hours. Customer service is available from 08:00 to 21:00 on weekdays, and from 10:00 to 16:00 on weekends. Special opening hours may occur on holidays, and will be posted on our website. You have access to you storage unit from 5 am to 10 pm every day of the year.
Upon rental you pay the first invoice either in the on-site store connected to your storage location, or have the invoice sent to you by email, which will be due the same day as your move-in day. Our stores accept Visa, MasterCard, Bankaxept, Diners and cash.
Further invoices are sent monthly by either email, mail, eFaktura or AvtaleGiro depending on your preference. The invoices are sent in advance with payment due the 1st of the following month. You will be billed continuously until you choose to end your lease.
You can also choose to pay six months in advance to get a 5% discount on your rent. You can choose to do this when you first move in, or at any point later during your lease.
If you need more or even less space, you can easily change to a different storage unit, free of charge. Contact your location or customer service within opening hours if you wish to change units.
You can send a vacation notice via the contact form to your storage location, or by personal attendance.
The vacation notice must be given to us by the 15th of the same month you wish to move out of the storage unit. By giving your vacation notice any later than this, you will be billed for an additional month.
When you have moved out of your unit, leave your unit empty and the door open. It is important to remove the lock from the door so that our employees know it has been vacated.
Our Storage rooms do not have power outlets. If you are in need of this you can contact your storage location.
Your belongings need to be insured when stored at a City Self-Storage facility to make sure that they are well protected. Contact customer service or your location to find the right insurance for you.
